Alan Fields
I was born in Uganda, and when the family returned to England I was educated in Romsey, Hampshire. I qualified in 1987 from Sheffield University, and am still keen to maintain my postgraduate education and regularly attend courses. My special interests within general dentistry are cosmetics and occlusion. I joined the practice in January 1988 and with a progressive attitude have encouraged the practice to grow and develop for the last 21 years.

I am married to Louise, a dental hygienist and have twin boys. My personal interests include travel, wildlife photography, kite and wind surfing.

Edward Storey Edward Storey
Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, graduated from Leeds dental school 1989.
After 3 years working in general practice I downed tools and left the country on a grand world tour taking in India, SE Asia and ending up in Australia where I worked in private general practice and in the Sydney Dental Hospital. On returning to the U.K. I settled in London where I worked in general practice for 7 years before returning to Yorkshire to join Castle Dental Practice in 2002.

I have a keen interest in Implants and completed the Eastman certificate of advanced restorative dentistry in 2000. My dental interests include cosmetic dentistry and endodontics. Outside of the mouth I enjoy snowboarding, mountain biking, surfing and looking after our children.

Sarah Nicholas

Sarah J Nicholas
I was born in Much Wenlock, Shropshire and brought up on the island of Anglesey, North Wales.
In 1989 I graduated from Leeds Dental School, and have worked in general practice in Yorkshire, Australia and London. I also worked in Sydney Dental Hospital, as a specialist dental officer and gained valuable knowledge and experience in the field of endodontics and paediatric dentistry.

I am dedicated to a preventive approach to dental disease, believing there is much we can do both in the practice and at home, to prevent dental problems before they arise. I do, therefore, enjoy working with children to try and instill a positive approach to their teeth and the dental profession.

Outside of dentistry, my interests are my children, garden and any outside sport involving a mountain!

Katrina Knox
I was born in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear. I became a dental nurse at the age of 16. I relocated to Leeds in 1999. After being a full-time Mother for a while I decided to return to University and undertake a Dimploma in Dental Therapy and Hygiene. I graduated in December 2006 and scooped the prize for Clinical Excellence in Dental Hygiene and joined the practice in January 2007. A Dental Therapist can treat children and adults, carrying out simple fillings and more. Being dual qualified I also carry out all the same duties as a Dental Hygienist at the practice.

I am married with two children. My personal interests are walking, scuba diving and interior design.
