What can Invisalign_® fix?

Crowded teeth

Crowded teeth is a condition where you do not have enough room for your teeth to fit normally. This can cause plaque or tartar and other harmful bacteria to build up as it is harder for you to brush and floss well.

Gaps between teeth

Gaps between teeth is when there is extra space between two or more of your teeth. This can cause pockets between your teeth and gums and can cause food to get stuck making them tender and sore. This might also lead to gum disease.

Open bite

An Open bite is when your upper and lower teeth don't touch when you close your mouth. An open bite can make it hard for you to chew or difficult to bite even the most common of food like apples.

Underbite

An underbite is when you close your mouth and your lower front teeth are in front of your upper teeth. In many cases, this is actually a problem with your lower jaw being too far forward. An underbite can make it hard to chew properly and speak clearly, and it might cause your teeth to wear down more quickly.

Overbite

An overbite is when your upper front teeth overlap with your lower front teeth. Most people have at least a little overbite. When your overbite is too large, your doctor might tell you you have a deep bite. This can cause problems, from your teeth wearing down to pain in your jaw.

Crossbite

A crossbite is when you close your mouth and yet some of your upper teeth are sitting inside your lower teeth rather than on the outside. A crossbite can make your teeth wear down or chip. It can also make your gums start to recede or make little notches above your gum line. This kind of damage can lead to painful gum problems or even bone loss.

2. What is the Invisalign® journey?

Consultation

Your Invisalign® journey begins with a consultation where we assess your smile goals, examine your teeth, and discuss the best treatment plan tailored to you. We’ll answer all your questions and provide a transparent cost estimate.

Digital scanning and treatment planning

Using our advanced 3d scanner, we capture detailed images of your teeth. This allows us to create a precise treatment plan showing how your teeth will move throughout the process.

Wearing your aligners

You’ll wear each set of clear aligners for about 1-2 weeks, for at least 22 hours per day. You can remove them to eat, drink, brush, and floss. Your teeth will gradually shift as you progress through your aligners, usually over several months.

Ongoing support and check-ups

We’ll schedule regular check-ups to monitor your progress and ensure your teeth are moving as planned. We’re always here to adjust your treatment or answer any concerns.

3. Who is a good candidate for Invisalign®?

5. Do I need to wear aligners overnight?

Yes, for best results, Invisalign® aligners should be worn at least 22 hours a day, including overnight. This helps move your teeth steadily and consistently, ensuring you complete treatment within the predicted timeframe.

6. Can I eat and drink normally with Invisalign®?

You remove your aligners when eating or drinking anything other than water. This means no food restrictions—remember to clean your teeth before putting your aligners back in.

7. Is Invisalign® painful?

I recently attended Castle Dental practice for treatment to have a tooth extracted.I was very impressed by Dr Georgina Barton and her assistant, Lydia, who explained to me the procedure and process.After numbing the area, within a few minutes it was numb enough to take the tooth out, all so quick with no real pain.I felt well informed and happy with my treatment, as I always have done over the years.I would recommend Castle Dental practice, I have been a patient now for a long time, my wife and I are always welcomed by the cheery staff.With the Covid situation the practice is well organized and committed to staff and patients wellbeing.Thankyou everyone.
